About the Mayor of Izzytown…

Me&BI am the lead pastor of the edge church in Edmond, Ok.  I have been married for 15 years to Brittany and we have 4 amazing kids…Levi, Crew, Goldie, and Jude.

I have been in full-time ministry since I was 18. Brittany and I started the edge in 2001.  I really don’t know a lot about computers or blogs, but I thought it would make me look cool (kinda like smoking in jr. high), so I decided to go for it.  If you don’t like it, then please do not comment - I am very sensitive and I tend to bruise like a peach.

Enjoy.  I’m out.

My husband and I have been going to The Edge for the last month. Your messages have been very powerful. We have a son who is very challenging, and God has used your words to bring some reconciliation to our home. God keeps bringing several things you said to mind.
– Jesus took the beatings so the kingdom of God could win. I have been able to take what my son dishes out and not say a word. I send him to his room ,then he comes out within 5 minutes to make amends. These battles have sometimes gone on for hours. We have repaid anger for anger for years. Like you said, “The only thing that stops the cycle of violence is grace, mercy and forgiveness.”
-I have to see him as and image barer of God, even when he is wrong and driving me crazy.
-Forgiveness is my giving up my right to believe the worst of him. I’m choosing to let go of his past choices and believe in what only God can see.

I hope you are encouraged to know that you are making an impact. You said last Sunday that you felt like no one is getting it. Well, someone is.

Thank you

Tracy…
Wow! Thanks so much for your comments.
That is amazing what God is doing in you. I am so impressed that you are living it out. That’s always the hardest part!
Also, thanks for the encouragement… it really does mean the world to me, and I really appreciate you saying those nice things.
Just keep on loving and serving…

Grace and peace to you.
