Lesson’s from Steve…

As you can see from my last post, I am reading “Inside Steve’s Brain.”  A book about Steve Jobs and his leadership style.  I am taking our staff through some of the highlights each week during staff.

Today we talked about several points that we can all learn from, so I thought I would share a few with you.

1:  Find a passion for your work!

I know that may seem fairly obvious…but, when I talk to people, or when I go to a place of business, one of the most obvious things you can see is that MOST people DO NOT have a passion for what they are doing.  Most of us just get up and do whatever, with a whatever attitude.  Get some passion!

2:  Put boot to A## and get things done!

Sometimes we all need to ask ourselves the tough questions and deal with the tough truth.  Most of us are lazy.  A good, swift kick to the backside is what many of us need.  If you can’t kick your own A##, find someone who will!

3:  Insist on doing things that seem inpossible!

I love this one!  (BTW, my staff loved the last one the best).  But this one really spoke to me.  If we are going to be followers of Jesus, then we are in the “impossible” business.  It’s just what we do!  For those of us who call Jesus Lord, we need to quit playing it so safe and step out in a big way…into faith….into the impossible!

Hope you have a great day.  Hope you leave it all on the field, so to speak.

peace.out.
